~In the vast expanse of life's grand stage,
There blooms a feeling, pure and brave,
Love, the melody that fills the air,
A symphony of souls, beyond compare.
Love whispers gently in the twilight's glow,
Softly embracing hearts that yearn to know,
The beauty in every fleeting touch,
A language that needs no words as such.
Love's tender touch, like a gentle breeze,
Caresses souls, puts troubled hearts at ease,
It knows no boundaries, no limit, no bounds,
United souls, in its embrace, are found.
Love is the seed that sprouts in spring,
A blossoming flower, an eternal thing,
It paints the world with vibrant hues,
Transforming lives, igniting the fuse.
Love's dance is graceful, a waltz divine,
Two souls entwined, a rhythm so fine,
Through joy and sorrow, it remains steadfast,
A beacon of hope when shadows are cast.
Love's strength is a fortress, unyielding and true,
A shelter from the storms that life may brew,
It withstands the tests of time and space,
A sanctuary where hearts find solace.
Love's laughter echoes, a joyful sound,
It brightens days when darkness is found,
It weaves together dreams of a shared bliss,
A tapestry of memories, sealed with a kiss.
Love, oh love, the essence of our being,
A flame that burns, forever gleaming,
It's in our hearts, in every breath we take,
A constant reminder, our souls awake.
So let love guide you, with its gentle hand,
Embrace its warmth, let it help you understand,
That in this vast universe, filled with strife,
Love is the thread that weaves the tapestry of life~.
[This poem is written by me.]
Looking outside at the cloudy and foggy weather, a soft sigh escaped from her mouth while her mind was thinking about a short love poem that she wrote last night.
"Tashi, What do you think about this matter?"
A sudden familiar manly voice of her father jolted her awake from her dreamland. She looked at her father as she pursed her lips.
Today was a chilly first morning of the new year.
She thought this New Year morning would be peaceful with her family of three people including her but nothing went according to her.
Her elder brother, Malay Sekhar dropped a heavy bomb on her father's head, snatching the peace of her small family.
Tashi licked her lips as she glanced at her elder brother and said to her father, "Papa! If he likes this girl then we should support him".
Her father Sekhar Kumar gritted his teeth angrily as he threw daggers at his son but he did not say a single word to his daughter.
“But . . ?”, Her father was about to say something but Tashi instantly said as she glanced at her brother whose brows were deeply joined together.
“Papa! Can we talk about this another day? Today is the first day of a new year and i don't want to lose the harmony of our family”
Her father nodded his head and hummed annoyingly at his son.
They ate their breakfast together and a deep silence fell around them.
Tashi looked back and forth between her father and her brother.
She closed her eyes and thought to break the silence that was disturbing her, “Brother! What's her name?”.
Malay, her brother looked at her.
Tashi caught a shine in his eyes when he responded, “Her name is Vartika”.
Tashi nodded her head and replied, “Nice name”.
After the breakfast, Malay left the house and her father was grumpy as he knew that Malay went to meet his girlfriend.
Her father could not stop himself from expressing his inner thoughts with his daughter.
“Tashi! I don't know why but I feel that this girl is not a right choice for my son. He wants to marry her but her caste is different from us”.
Tashi took a deep breath and looked at her father. There was no expression on her face but her eyes were deep brownish that held so much depth that only good reader could read and understand it.
“Papa! Just tell me one thing, if you will continue to oppose his choice and brother will get married to her without your permission then what will you do?”, Tashi asked her father.
Whose eyes widened.
Tashi smiled softly and said, “Don't go hard on him. Vartika is his choice. If he wants to marry her then we should accept it and support him”.
“But i have a feeling that this girl is no good for him. This marriage will not work. Firstly, she did not belongs to our caste”, Her father spoke as he was anxious for his son's life.
“Papa! Calm down. Listen to me please. Don't talk about caste here. And about this girl then it depends on them how will they manage their marriage”, Tashi said to her father.
“But I am sure this marriage is not going to work”, Her father said it again.
Tashi did not know how to handle her father who did not have an orthodox mindset but this time, his mind got stuck on intercaste marriage.
“Papa! Don't talk like this. If brother will hear you. He will be sad and disheartening”, Tashi tried to pursue her father.
“Hmmm! What will he do?”, Her father was not happy by his son's choice.
“Gosh ! Papa! You are actually acting like a child here. It's good that brother told us about his preference”, Tashi said in a calm tone.
Her father took her hand and said softly while his eyes casted down, “Tashi! I am scared. I don't want him to get hurt in this marriage. Marriage is not playthings. It's a commitment of lifetime. Two people gives and take everything in this commitment but today's generation doesn't understand these things or take it seriously. They only think about getting billions of likes and comments on their reels. They even make their marriage as a business and reels. Marriage is not a reel or a business. It's a heart to heart connection between two strangers, a lifetime commitment to love, cherish, support each other”.
Tashi squeezed her father's hand spoke, “I know, Papa but please at least meet Vartika. Then we will talk on this matter”.
“Tashi! I am not against of love marriage, intercaste or interracial marriage but . .", Her father was saying and suddenly he paused.
And then he continued to say, "You are right. Let's meet the girl and her family first”, Her father said and left to meet his friends in the community park.
Tashi cleaned the dishes and went to wrap her studies.
Tashi was a twenty year old girl from jharkhand but living in Delhi. She was doing Bachelor and studying Psychology in Delhi University. Her father had a small but well furnished business of imitation jewellery and her brother worked in private company as General manager. He met Vartika there. Their love bloomed and after dating for continuously for five years, they decided to take the next step of life. They planned to get married.
Tashi knew that her brother was in a relationship because she heard him talking to a girl very intimately a few times. However, her brother never opened about it. There was a invisible wall in between them.
Tashi never tried to break this wall.
Malay never take a step towards his sister who was eight years younger to him. He never take a stand for her. He never act like an older brother to her.
Sometimes, Tashi felt that they were all tenants in a house. Only at the day of Raksha Bandhan, She got a feeling of having an older brother otherwise her brother never showed his brotherly emotions, warmth and love to her.
Fortunately, her father was not like this. Her father always stood for her, loved her, supported her and cherished her.
Tashi entered her room and the first thing that caught her sight was the picture of her mother hanging on the wall.
She gulped down the ball of sadness forcefully.
She exhaled as she whispered, “Maa! I am trying hard to keep this house together but sometimes, I feel like failing. Give me strength. I need this right now”.
The harmonious waves were moving in a wrong direction in her life and she just wanted to make everything perfect in her home.
On the other hand, In NY, a man was sitting on a European style chair while looking out of the window.
His hand tightly clasping the pen however his mind was not there.
A sudden knock made him to turn his head, “Enter”.
A woman wearing a tight formal skirt came into the office and spoke in a soft tone, "Mr. Reed, all documents are finalized now. And the next meeting is held in Turkey”.
His brown enchanting eyes landed on his secretary and spoke, “Cancle all my meetings and revise these documents again”.
His secretary named Elara gasped slightly and immediately said, “But Mr. Reed”.
His eyes dangerously narrowed down and the aura suddenly darkened as he said, “Do as i said”.
Elara trembled slightly.
She knew how dangerous this man was.
He was non other than ZOHAN ELLIOT REED, a 35 years old, the most handsome, and wealthiest businessman in NY.
But he was ruthless as well and his cruelty was hidden in his bone.
And if he said her to revise the document then it meant that documents had some minute error that she missed to catch.
“And yes, book a ticket for India”, Zohan said as he walked closer the window sil.
Elara nodded her head and immediately left the cabin.
‘India’
He whispered softly and closed his eyes while engulfing the sunrays that was landing on his body.
Thank you
