Chapter 1} It Started with a HEARTBREAK

In India, a seventeen-year-old girl named Porishma Das was sitting by herself at the Kolkata railway station.

Porishma held her suitcase close to her chest. She packed all of her expensive stuff and cash in her bag. The thunderstorms peaked as black clouds erupted into the sky.

She had been anticipating his arrival. He was a married man and he captured her heart.

It was acceptable to fall in love, but falling in love with a married father of two children was almost suicidal. The heavens opened and the rain began to fall. The weather caused her to start shivering.

Porishma got completely soaked by the rain. Her dress was drenched and seemed to be a second skin to her.

At the station, every man was staring at her body with lust. She looked at her watch once more and saw the time. It was getting late, and she was beginning to worry about her safety.

Porishma realized then that he had betrayed her. She had been waiting all morning for him. He told her that he was forced to marry his wife and that having kids with his wife was his mistake. It also did not matter to him how different they were in age.

He told her how much he loved her and was ready to spend his life with her. He told her to come to the railway station in the morning. They would go away from there and make their own family and build a home.

She was a fool to trust him and ready to betray her father who was her first teacher who trained her in everything. Who taught her about the world. Her family didn't know about her love.

For the sake of that man, she was ready to ditch her father and mother. Her father was a well-reputed person in the city. Her mother was a classical music and dance teacher. Her parents loved her too much and were willing to do anything for her happiness.

Her only trusted friend was Mompi Sarkar who knew about her obsession and her love for that evil man.

Mompi knew that man only wanted to sleep with her. Mompi finally made her understand that she would never cross her limit with any man before marriage. Otherwise, this society would never spare her.

Porishma understood her friend's words very well whenever he tried to touch her. She pushed him away. She wasn't that naive or innocent. She maintained her purity and dignity.

But right now, the problem was she wrote letters to her parents and disclosed everything to them about how She was going away from them with the love of her life. He promised to marry her and would make her, his queen.

Porishma came back and broke down in front of her house.

'How could she do something like that to her lovely parents?'

Her parents were the most supportive in the entire world. They never tried for another child after her birth. Her father always stood up for her and supported her. He was like a backbone to her.

Her mother opened the door and moved aside for her to come inside the house.

Porishma was just standing in the passage of her house looking all down at the floor. Guilt was making her ashamed of herself.

Her parents were happy to see Porisma again in a good state at home but they were broken by her betrayal so they decided to leave the matter because she was innocent and at this crucial age, most of the kids lost their ways. They didn't say anything about her letter.

Her mother told Porishma to change her clothes and take a warm bath otherwise she would get sick. She did and came back to the hall. Her mother placed the dinner in front of her and left her all alone.

Porishma was a young girl who could not control herself as she fell on the floor and started screaming.

Her parents ran out of their room and came in front of her.

Her tears and saliva were dripping from her mouth because of constant yelling that the scene broke her father's heart. He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. Her mother was silently crying and looking at the father-daughter duo's reunion.

"Sorry Baba, I was a fool to trust him. I promise you I'll never do something like this again in my life baba. Just Forgive me, please. This one baba please", Porishma said to her father.

"My child, You're my life. There's nothing wrong with falling in love but it's important to whom we fall in love and what kind of person he is", her father said and wiped her tears.

"Baba! Trust me, I vow to myself that I will never fall in so-called love. In this cruel world, there is no sign of true love", Porshima said but her father shook his head in the negative.

"No, My child, every person is destined to their soulmate. Like your mother was fated to me. You too baccha fated to someone who will come into your life like a bang and leave a deep impact on your broken heart. He'll heal your heart and soul", her father said.

"But baba, he broke my trust and I stupidly followed him", Porishma responded.

"You're a teenager, My child. It happens most of the time in this age when everything looks true and beautiful. And we were fascinated by them and forgot about the reality. we live in a world of hallucination. A mere attraction towards the opposite gender makes us believe that we are in love but that was not love baccha, it was an attraction that faded over time. And that man used this attraction as his weapon to fulfill his evil desires. I don't know who he was but I will tell you one thing if your love is true and pure and if both of you feel the same then both of you are destined to each other no one will ever be able to break your thread of love", Her father tried to make her understand his words.

"Thank you for your forgiveness. I love you Baba and Maa. I promise I'll never love someone", Porishma said and her parents looked at each other and knew that it was going to be tough for them to make her understand.

That night, a daughter vowed to protect herself from all the greedy male creatures. That night, her parents knew that it was going to be very tough for her.

That night was the reunion for them. Porishma slept on her father's chest. Her father was happy to find her daughter back.

"I'll never forget you, you bastard. I PORISHMA DAS, daughter of Kishore Das and Laxmi Das, promise to myself to never trust, love, or give any damn to any male creature in the entire world", Porishma vowed.

Her father:- "You're my pain but you're my relevant too..."

Her mother:- "You're my world. You're my Sunshine..."

"Our Sunshine", They said in unison and kissed her daughter's forehead and she smiled at them.

Porishma liked her nickname Sunshine.

Every daughter needed a parent like her, especially her Father. How they handled the situation and her too. A naive teenage girl who wasn't aware of the cruelty of the world. One mistake and the end of Everything.

Her parents, her family, and her life too.

Porishma studied hard and was top in her high school. Her parents were proud of her but worried about her stability.

Porishma thought that all men were untrustworthy and she started to hate them to the core of her heart. But her parents finally melted her heart.

On day her father said, "Not all men are this kind but yeah numbers of them are very high. Very few are rare to find, and rare are keepers".

Porishma smiled at her parents and finally, she started to behave normally around them but never guarded down her gut feelings.

Handsome boys always approached her but she simply said no to them. She was beautiful and her Beauty always turned on the male species.

She started to dress simply. No skin showing or any kind of short dresses. Her parents gladly accepted these changes of hers too. She was in contact with her only friend 'Mompi' who was her true well-wisher.

Her School ended and a new chapter of college entered her life but storms were also waiting for her.
